FIGHTING STRONGER OPPONENTS

WILL ALL RICH PEOPLE GO TO HELL?POVERTY IS NOT A TICKET TO HEAVEN....MUST READ

'Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, Nor the power of God.' (Matt 22:29)

This is a very interesting story, but also one that has been misinterpreted and misunderstood a lot. Let's look at the useful lessons it contains and correct some of the wrong assumption people have made about it. The first misconception is that all rich people will go to hell. God is not against prosperity. On the contrary, he delights in prospering his servants (Ps 35:27). He gives prosperity and riches as a reward to the obedient (Prov 11:25). In Malachi 3:10 he promises that as you pay your tithes and give to Him, he will bless you so much that you will say it is enough. In Deuteronomy 28: 1-12 there are even more such promises.

COMMAND THE EARTHQUAKE

'Two are better than one; Because they have a good reward for their labor.' (Eccles 4:9)
Peter and John had been accused by the authorities for healing a lame man and turning thousands to Jesus. After their trial, they were warned never again to preach in the name of Jesus. The disciples had no name other than Jesus to talk about, so they went to meet their brethren and reported all that had happened. The next thing they did was to pray from the heart and a small earthquake followed.

LEVELS OF BREAKTHROUGH: MUST READ

‘And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great…’ (Gen 26: 13)

When the Lord intervenes in your siege, he turns your captivity into a breakthrough. In Samaria, God turned acute shortage into excessive provision. There are different levels of breakthrough you can enjoy when the Lord is on you side. Ordinary breakthrough can be likened to a man who comes across water while digging a well, But the man who comes in contact with crude oil while digging his well, has a greater breakthrough, because he will have more than enough money to buy all the water he needs, and many more things.

INFORM YOUR PASTOR

Some Christians feel they should be the only ones to have a say in their marriage. They do not see any use for the rules relating to marriage that the church has laid down. But Scripture says all things should be done decently and in orderly fashion. God is not the author of confusion. His rules are there for the good of all concerned.

OUR ARMOUR: MUST READ

‘But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.’ (Rom 13:14)
As believers in Christ, we are chosen warriors. It is not strange, because our Father is the commander-in-chief of the heavenly army. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 says: ‘Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

SIN AND FEAR

‘And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.’ (Gen 3:10)

Has God anointed you? You ought not to be afraid because the One who anointed you will defend his anointing upon your life. If you are genuinely born again, you cannot be demon-possessed. How can the demon even enter you? He will be burnt because of the fire of God surrounding you. But if you break the hedge of holiness surrounding you, then the demons will have legal grounds to gain entrance.

DRUNK WITH WHAT?

‘Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.’ (Acts 8:17)

The human body has a tremendous vacuum, which can either be filled by God or by the devil. What you are filled with determines who you are, what comes out of your mouth, how you will behave, the degree of accomplishing your goals in life, whether your destiny will be achieved or not and where you will spend eternity. ‘And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit…’ (Eph 5:18).

ENEMIES OF THE CROSS:MUST READ

‘There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.’ (Prov 14:12)
It is good to begin the Christians race. But to start is not enough. To finish it is even more important. When we look around us, we have several examples of those who began well, but are ending up in bad shape.

FEAR OF MAN: MUST READ

‘The fear of man bringeth a snare but whose putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.’ (Prov. 29: 25)
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whose putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe’ (Prov. 29: 25). Some people are afraid of what their friends will say when they know that they have given their lives to Jesus. This is a bane to holy living. Are you among those who cannot stand up for Christ? When you go to church, do you make sure you take a small pocket Bible you can conveniently hide away from the glare of your friends, to avoid being mocked?

ANOINTING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE: MUST READ

‘But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things’ (1 John 2: 20). In the life of the believer, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is what makes you stand out from the crowd. The anointing is neither acquired through learning nor practice. Simply defined, it is that which empowers mere mortals to do supernatural things. It is bequeathed from heaven. At a Christian meeting, a professional singer was engaged to sing Psalm 23. It was a beautiful piece and received a standing ovation. Thereafter, an old man requested permission to sing the same song. At the ending, everybody broke down on their knees in tears, crying their eyes out to God. The first was by skill; the latter was by anointing.

THIS FAITH THAT IGNORES DOUBTER: MUST READ

‘He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God…’ (Rom 4:20)
Faith is ‘the Substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’ (Heb 11:1). Faith is the ability to believe and receive what you are asking for in prayer. There are different kinds of faith. Desperate faith is one major way of achieving good results. For the Christians, faith, it is impossible to please God. Have you ever wondered why at a great gathering of God’s people, some receive God’s miraculous touch while others are left out? This is often determined by whether faith is exercised or not.

BREAD OF DECEIT: MUST READ

‘An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning: but the end therefore shall not be blessed.’
(Prov 20:21)

‘Bread of deceit is sweet to a man: but afterwards, his mouth shall be filled with gravel’ (Prov 20:17). Anything acquired fraudulently or diabolically may appear to be a bonus initially, but not for long. People are more concerned with acquiring riches and property than the means by which they acquire them. Often they say the end justices the means. This is a reversal of the truth. The end does not always justify the mean: rather in several cases, it is the means that either justifies or condemns the end. A man whose end or goal is to become rich is not justified if he arrives at the goal through armed robbery, use of a fellow human for rituals or by any other fraudulent means.

SATANIC MINISTRIES: PST. E.A ADEBOYE

‘The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.’ (John 10:10)

The last days are here. Satan’s time is almost up. His strategies to deceive have multiplied and he works round the clock. Having tried so many avenues, he came into religion and began to multiply them. He is the founder of all religions, except the Christian faith. And he has also counterfeited Christianity to the extent that only the Spirit of God in a discerning seeker knows the truth, which all the religions claim to be.

BLESSINGS OF GRATITUDE

‘Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, And make a joyful noise unto Him with psalm.’
 (Ps 95:2)
God lavishes blessings on his children every day. And, just like any natural parent, He expects them to appreciate His kind gestures. Believers today take many of God’s blessings for granted. We assume that when we sleep, we must wake up, or when we are sick, we shall be healed. We feel God is obligated to be our bodyguard and to shelter us from all attacks and the plans of our enemies. We also believe that God will continue to be nice to us no matter what we do! How wrong!

LESSONS FROM THE PAST

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before.’ (Phil 3:13)
Many people think Paul’s resolve to forget the past and to attain future tasks and heights means that one’s entire past should be forgotten. This is far from the truth. Anyone who wants to achieve his goal in life, must be able to learn effectively from his past failures and successes. He must find out why he failed or succeeded. And having identified his strengths, he must sustain them while taking steps to prevent future failures.

TRANSFER OF ANOINTING: PST E.A ADEBOYE

Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any mean hurt you.’ (Luke 10:19)
There are three ways the anointing can be transferred from one person to another. Anointing in a man’s life, like the sun, obeys certain natural laws. It can be transferred by conduction. This is when one comes in contact physically with someone who is anointed and desires the anointing. Through a handshake or the laying on the hands, the anointing can be released from the anointed, for example, into the sick and that sickness will be removed.
