MEETING GOD PREPARED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

When two students go far an examination, and at the end of the day one passes with distinction, while the other fails woefully, their performances reveal their level of preparedness. Have you also wondered why at a meeting of God’s people, some are blessed while others are not? A key factor here is how prepared they were. Some people coming to the Holy Ghost Service has become a routine, or ceremony. Some attend reluctantly. Some others use it as a forum for social meetings, to see old friends or do business. No wonder some are left out.

UNANSWERED PRAYERS: SIN

God is the one who has commanded you to ask that you might receive, so that your joy may be full (John 16:24). He does not make empty promises. The Scriptures say His promises are ‘Yes’ and Amen’ in Christ (2 Cor 1:20). It is written that His word is forever settled in heaven. He cannot lie to you because with Him is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (Jas 1:17).
Anything God has promised, He is able and willing to do. All your requests are far below God’s ability. ‘Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us’ (Eph 3:20).

UNBEATABLE LOVE STORY: MUST READ

God is love. Love is another name you can call God. He demonstrates His love to us in the past, present and future. He gave his greatest gift to us when He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, some 2000 years ago to come and die for sinful man and restore fellowship with Him.
