ANOINTING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE: MUST READ

‘But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things’ (1 John 2: 20). In the life of the believer, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is what makes you stand out from the crowd. The anointing is neither acquired through learning nor practice. Simply defined, it is that which empowers mere mortals to do supernatural things. It is bequeathed from heaven. At a Christian meeting, a professional singer was engaged to sing Psalm 23. It was a beautiful piece and received a standing ovation. Thereafter, an old man requested permission to sing the same song. At the ending, everybody broke down on their knees in tears, crying their eyes out to God. The first was by skill; the latter was by anointing.

When a skilled preacher comes to the podium and performs a lot of verbal gymnastics, talking his way through a service with the right gesticulations and motivational speech, people may acknowledge a fantastic service, yet there is no life-transforming impact. But when the sermon is anointed, its impact on the souls of men will be long lasting and it will transform such lives for good.

‘For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure’ (Phil 2:13).

When you are anointed, whatever service you render to God is done by God through you. It comes out as gold and its result is glorious; so in all your getting, get the anointing! A man who has no anointing will definitely know it. Everything will appear dry and a struggle. He will have to put in much effort and strength to achieve any result at all, as the iron becomes blunt. The presence of the anointing, on the other hand, sharpen the iron and therefore requires very little effort.

Are you not tired of doing heaven’s assignment using earthly strength? Why not genuinely seek divine enablement and begin to enjoy ministry from today?

Lord, help me to carry out whatever assignment you give to me by your divine unction.
