HOLY SPIRIT BEFORE PENTECOST
The Holy Spirit is God and a member of the Trinity. He was not created. He has no beginning or ending, just like the Father and the Son. He was involved in the creation (Gen 1:1-2). Considering the terrible state of the earth, when the Holy Spirit moved, darkness turned to light. Even today, when he moves in your life, every lingering problem will suddenly vanish. The Holy Spirit acted as conscience before the flood (Gen 6: 1-3). That means he led people to know the difference between right and wrong. Today, when you are about to do something wrong, it is the Holy Spirit who instructs you not to. When he warns you and you keep shunning him, he becomes grieved. He is gentle and will not force or struggle with you. He will just leave you to your ways (Gen 6: 1-3).
Samson was one person in whose life the Holy Spirit was very active. He was used mightily. But Samson refused to listen to the Holy Spirit, choosing instead to listen to Delilah. The result was that the Holy Spirit left him and he became an ordinary man (Judg 13: 24-25). I pray that the Holy Spirit will not leave you. All Jesus achieved was by the power of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is in your life, you have no limitation because all things are possible to him. Elijah was a man of power feared by all and sundry. He was a man the Holy Spirit used to perform several wonders is his time. In fact, whenever there was an impossible case, all roads led to his house and that problem became a thing of the past.
One day having unlocked heaven’s window, with the rain was about to fall, Elijah asked King Ahab to speed home to Jezreel on his chariot to avoid the rain. He himself was still several miles away and naturally he would have been drenched. But Elijah ran by the power of the Spirit and reached the city before the King and the heavy downpour. If you can submit yourself to the Holy Spirit, and obey his every direction for your life, you will not regret any action you take as you are led by him. It will always be the best. And nothing will be impossible to you. Desire a beautiful relationship with him from today. And do not grieve him.
‘The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.’ (Job 33:4)

Your Daily Expectations
Did I begin today in prayer?
Have I read my Bible today?
Did I give today my best efforts?
Did I make someone’s life a little better today?
Did I take steps towards the dreams I have and God has for my life today?
How did I add value to the world around me today?
Was my attitude ever in the way of me or others having a productive, happy day?
Can I put today behind me, go to sleep, and give tomorrow another chance?
How can I improve my answers tomorrow night?
Am I ending today in prayer?
