God
has made provision for every weapon we will ever need in spiritual warfare. He
knows how tough the battle will get in these end-times. He has, therefore,
created such powerful weapons that will enable us to emerge victorious after
every spiritual duel. God is ready to give you the ability to confront and
conquer the devil. All you need to do is to be willing to receive the ability.
You must be willing to draw upon the divine ability and resist the devil.
You
are given an important assignment in James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to
God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” We are to resist the devil.
It is sheer display of ignorance when some pray to bind the devil. The time to
get the devil bound is still in the future. An angel from heaven will bind Satan
and put him away for a thousand years. We can bind demons but we are to resist
the devil. By trying to bind the devil we are only admitting to Satan our lack
of knowledge of the order given us, and he will laugh at this. How are we to
rests the devil?
We
are given a clue in I Peter 5:8-9: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour. Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions
are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” We are to resist the
devil by being steadfast in faith. You cannot resist the devil casually. You are
to resist steadfastly, until the devil begins to move. You will gain confidence
as you continue to resist the devil.
Your
main assignment is to dislodge the agents of the devil planted around you to
make up for his inability to be everywhere at the same time. Every Christian
must be involved with the deliverance ministry. We are to go to the enemy. It is
our duty to find out who needs deliverance and execute the deliverance. You are
to take the battle to the gates of the enemy, smash the gates down and set the
captives free. God expects us to be terror to the devil. He wants us to carry
out a holy invasion against the enemy’s camp.
James 4:7 - “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
